Profession: Hair stylist
Where were you born and raised?
Belmont Heights of Long Beach, CA. That’s right, I’m an LBC girl.
Growing up were there any people that influenced your decision on getting a tattoo?
I used to be the “Maybe I’ll get a small heart on my ankle” kind of girl. At the age of 16 I got my first piercing. I loved that rebellious feeling. Got my first tattoo on my 18th birthday and I’ve been hooked ever since. I always felt like I looked way too ordinary. Being covered in ink just feels right.
What made you decide to take the plunge and get your first one?
I didn’t consider it taking a plunge. I felt like it HAD to happen. It was just how I was meant to look and be.
Do you have a favorite tattoo, and does it have a meaning behind it?
My favorite has to be the cupcake on my right sleeve. I love how realistic it is and the detail. I just like cupcakes, what can I say? Fat kid at heart.
How did you get into modeling?
I started, unprofessionally of course, at the age of 15. I would set up little photo shoots with my friends and take pictures of each other all day with different hair, makeup and outfits. That turned into doing shoots for companies such as Hot Topic. Once I got better and learned how to really control my body and knew what gave the best result I started branching out to photographers all over the country to collaborate with.
What or who are you’re inspirations?
One of my biggest inspirations is my best friend Airica Michelle. I really admire how committed she is to modeling. She has done hundreds of shoots and every photo she takes is flawless. I strive to be as talented as she is one day.
What projects are you currently working on?
I have a few projects with different clothing lines and magazines in the works. I can’t release the names but you can look forward to it in the next couple of months!
