 Model, Mama and Stylist

Where were you born and raised?
I am from the states but I grew up mostly in Germany. I spent my whole teenage life in Europe bouncing around from one school to the next, constantly getting kicked out and having to get shipped off to some new boarding school. Yup, I was trouble. I moved back to the states when I was 19 and have continued to bounce around. My family landed in Detroit so I spent a little time there before I moved to New York. Then I actually lived in my van for a few years and cruised up and down the west coast before I landed in San Francisco.

Growing up were there any people that influenced your decision on getting a tattoo?
I suppose so, but honestly I can’t really attribute it to anyone in particular. I was always a bit of a wild child, especially when I was younger and I really appreciate art and beauty. To me tattoos are beautiful and I love the aesthetic. Since my early teens I have chosen to immerse myself in alternative culture which of course dramatically influenced who I have become. I definitely have drawn inspiration from tribal cultures and the fact that humans have been adorning their bodies with tattoos as long as we have existed.

What made you decide to take the plunge and get your first one?
I got my first tattoo pretty much the first second I was legal. It didn’t really feel like a plunge at all, it just seemed like the natural thing to do for me. Getting tattooed is an organic process, for me it is just what I gravitate towards. I don’t over think them, I have ideas and I trust them, then they become permanent installations of art on my body. My fingers, neck and face are all tattooed as well, these are places you cannot hide, the world is always aware of my choices all of which transpired effortlessly and with great freedom and joy to express myself.

Do you have a favorite tattoo, and does it have a meaning behind it?
Usually my favorite tattoo is whichever one is the newest or being worked on at the moment. I really love all my tattoos so much! Most of them are in a very similar style and I love the way they flow over my body. My tattoos are meant to adorn.

How did you get into modeling?
My mama. She tried to get me to model foreverrrr. I was to busy being a party girl that I just was not interested. Then one day she kinda tricked me and persuaded me to shoot with a photographer friend of hers. I did the shoot and was shocked how much fun I had! Plus it gave me another outlet to express my creativity and share my personality. So, I was hooked.

What or who are you’re inspirations?
Oh my goodness, I am inspired by so many girls in the industry as well as women that came before us. I am inspired by the creativity that pours from so many photographers and I am inspired by fashion, beauty and art.

What projects are you currently working on?
I have a bunch of shoots booked that i am absolutely thrilled to be a part of. Forever living the dream. And I am also in the midst of getting my own website together where the main focus will be videos. Pics are amazing, but I was such a theater kid that I also want to make moving pictures. So stay tuned for all that!
