Where were you born and raised?
Where everything is bigger and better, H-Town/Houston, Texas!
Growing up were there any people that influenced your decision on getting a tattoo?
There was this high fashion model from the 90’s named Eve Salvail, she had a shaved head and a Chinese dragon tattooed on her scalp that caught my attention. Needless to say at the time I was too young to get any tattoos, but Eve was plastered all over my wall with tons of other crazy art.
What made you decide to get your first one?
A friend of mine had given me the nickname Munchkin after a song he had written. One day, we were sitting around hanging out, and he drew this mushroom on my ankle with the nickname underneath it. My brother had seen it that day and I told him I liked it, he said let’s go get it tattooed, and the rest is history!
Do you have a favorite tattoo, and does it have a meaning behind it?
My favorite tattoos are the ones on my hands that are very symbolic. The Sunburst Hibiscus is my Grandmothers favorite flower, and the hummingbird on my right hand reminds me of putting out the feeders every Spring with my Grandmother, and watching the hummingbirds together.
How did you get into modeling?
I modeled when I was younger but that died off once I started getting tattoos, because it wasn’t as acceptable then as it is now. Then New Years of 2012, I believe, I was rediscovered by Amber Strickler of Pretty & Inked, and it has just taken off from there.
What or who are you’re inspirations?
A lot of people and things inspire me on a daily basis. Even though my grandmother Evelyn (Nan) is no longer with us, she will always be my number one! My gorgeous daughters of course are high up on that list as well.
Others that have always inspired me throughout my life would be Drew Barrymore, Shirley Manson, Madonna, Marilyn Monroe and all of the other fabulous Hollywood beauties!
What projects are you currently working on?
Something is always in the works in my studio, whether it be set design, pulling wardrobe for myself or other models, collaborating ideas with photographers or just being crafty!
