How would you describe your photography style?
Well, being an owner of VBLAZIN Magazine, I have photographers all around the world that would submit shots. They always asked, “How do you want this girl shot?” Since I knew nothing about photography, I just told them to get me some shots to go through. I finally decided to teach myself photography, not to use my work in my magazine, but because my taste is somewhat different than what the mag is known for (plus I rarely use my work in my mag). This way I could show the photographers what I wanted style wise.

Any photographers or artists that you looked up to that helped influence your style?
Not really, because I try to do my own thing, and not worry about what others are doing. When you do that, your work starts to look like everyone else’s. But, if I had to pick one, it would be Simon Bolz. He does GREAT work.

Did you study photography in school or are you self-taught?
Lol. That’s funny, because I’m too cheap to pay for school. Everything from building the magazine from ground up to video production, and photography is self taught.

What do you feel is the most challenging thing about starting a photography business?
When you have family to support, sometimes school is not an option.

What do you love most about being a photographer?
Well, I love the art that comes from it. I mostly do it for fun and when it starts feeling like work I’ll stop doing it.

The thing is, I cheat with my photography. Let me explain, all of the models bring me the art work already done. I may add an effect here, remove a mark there to make it my own. But, the female form is the best piece of artwork you can get, and I get it to start with.

What project are you currently working on that you would like people to know about?
Funny you asked, I used to have a section in the mag when I asked people to send in shots of their tattoos that really meant something to them, and tell the story behind it. It got a huge response. Now I’m trying to expand on that. I’m getting together investors for a website for readers, people who like to write and tell stories. Whether it’s fictional, nonfictional, personal or whatever. Everyone has a story to tell. I’m sure people are tired of reading about the drunk weekend you had, or looking at a million baby pics on Facebook. I want to give writers and regular people a chance to be heard. I just hope a lot of people want it, and I’ve always loved listening. So, we’ll see how it goes. If you want to invest in the grown floor. Look for my Kickstarter post on FB soon.

And thanks Sexy Ink for showing my work to the masses.
