Where were you born and raised?
I was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland Canada, but was raised in Kamloops, British Columbia Canada most of my life. I have only lived in Calgary, Alberta Canada for the past 7 months.

Growing up were there any people that influenced your decision on getting a tattoo?
A lot of people in my family have tattoos and I’ve always loved the fact that you can express yourself and personality with the art on your body. I never thought I would get a sleeve or this many tattoos, but the more I got the more I loved showing my personality and things that mean the most to me with my body art.

What made you decide to get your first one?
I was 17 when I had my first tattoo done. It is a music note on my left hand and I just really wanted a tattoo at the time. I wish I would have thought more about placement, but it’s not a tattoo I hate. I have more music notes on my collar bone and a treble clef on my left shoulder blade. Music helped me through a lot of very rough times in my teen years and it’s something I truly have and always will love, which is why I chose a music note as my first tattoo.

Do you have a favorite tattoo, and does it have a meaning behind it?
My Shenron half sleeve is my absolute favourite tattoo and I chose to get Shenron for two reasons. The first, is because I have been a huge fan of Dragon Ball since I was 2 years old, I know more than a lot of guys do lol! The second reason is more personal, I chose Shenron specifically because he can bring back people from the dead. My grandfather passed away in 2005 of a very unfortunate event and if Shenron existed, I would have been able to wish him back.

How did you get into modeling?
I had very low confidence in myself growing up and two, and half years ago I found a casting call for a hair show on kijiji and applied for it. I got the casting call and they changed my hair into a really pretty red color. After the show was over, a beauty school owner asked me if I could come down to be a makeup model for his MUA students taking an exam at his school. I went down and had my hair and makeup done and then did my first ever photo shoot! It made me feel so good about myself and after that day I pushed myself every single day to get out here and network. It helped me get to the point I am today!

What or who are you’re inspirations?
Growing up, I never had any confidence in myself. Up until about grade 9, I was a bit on the chubby side and always was ridiculed for my weight and looks. In the summer after my grade 9 year, I went for a trip to visit my family back east in Newfoundland and that’s where my passion began. My auntie was working at a salon at the time and invited me down to get my nails done. While I was there, the salon owner was chatting with me and telling me how he wished I had lived there because I had the perfect facial features for a model. I had never thought of myself that way, nor thought I was even pretty at that time of my life. It made me feel absolutely amazing to know someone actually considered me good looking enough to model. It wasn’t until I was 19 and graduated from high school, that I actually pushed myself to get into it. I was at a very hard point in my life then, with extremely low self esteem. Once I did my first photoshoot, I felt absolutely wonderful. The best feeling I had ever felt in my life and that is what pushed me to really get into modelling as a career. My drive, determination and passion come from that, as well as the fact of knowing that one day if I ever gain a world famous title (celebrity status), I can make a foundation that helps people with diseases and such that there is no funding for. My ultimate goal in life is to be able to help pay those things off so people can live happily. Thanks to my modeling and network, I know it is truly possible for me to do!

What projects are you currently working on?
Right now, I am working very hard to get into as many known tattoo magazines as possible, travel outside of Canada (I’ve never been outside of Canada!), and get as far as possible in my career. I’d like to work my way up to owning my own modeling agency one day and possibly a clothing/swimwear line!
