Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised in Hombeek, a little town near Mechelen in the Dutch part of Belgium. I lived there until I was 18 years old, then I moved to Leuven where I studied and graduated as a business translator/interpreter in 2014. I got a job immediately after and I moved to the beautiful city of Bruges for a year. Currently I am living in the capital, Brussels.

Growing up were there any people that influenced your decision on getting a tattoo?
When I got in the music scene (rock/metal) it wasn’t unusual to see tattooed men and women. I became used to it, to me it was “normal”. This might have influenced me unconsciously to get tattooed. However, certain tattoo styles/designs never influenced me, I always knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted to be different and unique.

What made you decide to get your first one?
I convinced myself to just do it! If you keep doubting you never achieve anything, I’m happy I did and I have no regrets.

Do you have a favorite tattoo, and does it have a meaning behind it?
I used to say that I don’t really have a favorite tattoo, they all have their own meaning, however some years and tattoos later, my sleeve (on the right arm) stays precious to me. The horrible nerd in me once thought it would be a good idea to get a full Harry Potter based sleeve, so I did. I am still completely in love with it, the books meant a lot to me in my childhood, and they still do. They contain a lot of values that are important to me and which I will cherish my whole life.

How did you get into modeling?
When I was younger I often went to cosplay conventions. There I got to know a lot of people, a lot of photographers as well and I started doing some shoots to try it. Slowly, I gained more popularity on the Internet, especially on Facebook where I got in contact with many other talented photographers/casting directors etc. Now I am doing photo shoots and fashion shows on a more regular basis, I even got asked twice for French television but I’m not really up for that yet.

What or who are you’re inspirations?
First of all, my mom and dad. They have always been there for me, supporting me, and giving me numerous opportunities. I would not be who I am now if it wasn’t for them, I am extremely grateful, not only for giving me the chance to study at university but also for stimulating me to do music. They were always there for me and I will never forget that. I hope I can be there for them when they need me. Another big inspiration for me is my boyfriend Seb. I admire his incredible motivation in everything he does, his high hopes and expectations and how he is determined to succeed. His energy motivates me. He loves me for who I am and I am lucky to have such an amazing person in my life. He’s the true love I thought I’d never find.

What projects are you currently working on?
Concerning tattoo projects, I have a full leg sleeve in progress. Willem from Desperado Tattoo in Eindhoven (The Netherlands) is currently finishing up my leg in a neo-traditional style.
Concerning general projects in my life, I am planning to travel a lot more this year. I’d love to go backpacking in Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as doing a road trip across Europe.
I’ll see where life leads me.
