Where were you born and raised?
I was born just outside of Vancouver Canada. Growing up my family and I bounce around different suburbs, we even spent a year in cold Calgary Alberta before returning home to Vancouver where I currently live…for now.
Growing up were there any people that influenced your decision on getting a tattoo?
My main influences on getting my first tattoo was that liberating feeling of turning 18. I was raised in a family that had no tattoos, so naturally I decided to celebrate that newly found freedom by getting tattooed.
What made you decide to get your first one?
I drew my first tattoo, and it’s embarrassing because at the time I thought it was the coolest design ever. It was a tribal dragon tramp stamp with Gemini written in Chinese characters in between its wings. To me it symbolized the strong and fierce side of a Gemini. Let’s just say eventually I came to my senses, and got that thing covered up. Now I’m proud to wear a newer/ better dragon back piece.
Do you have a favorite tattoo, and does it have a meaning behind it?
I would say my full arm sleeve. It’s so beautifully done with so much detail. It represents the love and memories of my dear grandmother Georgina. I call it, “Grandma’s Garden”. It has her favourite flowers and a rosary. She is everything to me and I love her so much.
How did you get into modeling?
Modelling was always in the back of my mind during my early 20’s, it wasn’t until after I got a bunch of tattoos that I started feel more comfortable in my skin. Being a tattoo artist I’m constantly surrounded in tattoo culture and its presence on social media, I finally decided to give modelling a try. I want to represent myself as a tattoo artist and tattoo model.
What or who are you’re inspirations?
I’d say being a tattoo artist and watching the styles change and evolve inspires me to continue getting tattooed. In the last few years alone I’ve seen tattoos become more accepted in society and so many models are proudly showing off their Ink. I feel empowered to do the same.
What projects are you currently working on?
I’m always connecting with different photographers around the world looking to collaborate and create something interesting. I’m just breaking the surface with modelling now and acting as well. I’m excited to see just how far I can take this.
