Where were you born and raised?
Roanoke Rapid, North Carolina (most people have never even heard of this tiny little town)
Growing up were there any people that influenced your decision on getting a tattoo?
Yes! my nana got her first tattoo for her 60th birthday, my mom followed suite and got her first one at 45…I thought that was pretty bad ass and It definitely sparked my interest in one day getting them myself.
What made you decide to get your first tattoo?
I knew that I had wanted one since I was like 15. Finally when I turned 18 and happened to be dating a very artistic and very tattooed boy, I asked him to draw me a pretty and simple sketch with stars and swirls around them. Of corse he did and as soon as I saw it I knew that I wanted it to be my first tattoo. We went to his artist the next day and sealed the deal.
Do you have a favorite tattoo, does it have meaning behind it?
I can’t say that I have a favorite tattoo because each one has its own story behind it and its own meaning. Some have more meaning than others but each of them are special to me in their own way.
How did you get into modeling?
I wanted to do something “sentimental” for my boyfriend when I was 21… I decided on a Calendar with me posed on 12 of his favorite make and model cars. I had never done anything like this before except the casual “sexy selfies”. I hired a photographer friend of mine to help me take the photos and put the calendar together. It turned out so well that the photographer pushed me to try and pursue modeling as a hobby. I started out doing small shoots on cars and bikes and evolved from there.
What or who are your inspirations?
I am genuinely inspired by so many things, life and all the challenges and amazing experiences it brings me, my family and friends who are so supportive in everything I do and are constantly encouraging me to “do more” and “go bigger” , and of course other tattoo models who are absolutely beautiful and far more successful than I am inspire me to promote myself and really push to get my name out there 🙂
What projects are you currently working on?
I have quite a few tricks up my sleeve for 2017. I’m really trying hard to get as much exposure this year as I can, so I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of me 🙂 although I can’t tell you everything I can say my photographer and my tattoo artist will both have a busy year! Keep your eyes open!
