Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Seoul, South Korea and came to the US when I was two. I was raised in California and haven’t left since. Nothing beats the California weather!
Growing up were there any people that influenced your decision on getting a tattoo?
Growing up nobody influenced me to get tattoos however the art has inspired me to. I’ve always been interested in art and seeing it on the body intrigued me even more. The entire process is fascinating! It’s amazing how these artists tattoo these masterpieces on your skin.
What made you decide to get your first one?
I was born in Seoul, South Korea and am still a citizen so I wanted to get the national flower (Rose of Sharon) on my navel.
Do you have a favorite tattoo, and does it have a meaning behind it?
My favorite tattoo will always be the memorial tattoo I got dedicated for my grandmother. It’s her birthday and the date of her passing on my left forearm surrounded by a rosary.
How did you get into modeling?
Growing up my parents and I would always watch Miss Korea pageants on tv which sparked my interest in modeling. They were so beautiful and graceful! I wanted to be just like them.
What or who are you’re inspirations?
When I started modeling I was really inspired by some of the import models. I started in the import scene but quickly shifted to the alternative and tattoo modeling as I started to get more and more tattoos.
What projects are you currently working on?
I’m always working on something but you’ll have to stay tuned and check my Instagram for more updates! Follow me on IG @yeonji63.
